FOUR STEPS TO CREATIVE THINKING

1. DIMENSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
To truly understand something, you need to look at it from at least three perspectives, to be able to draw up a three dimensional logical conclusion. Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest artist of our time share this believe. Da Vinci did alright for himself, so maybe his advice is solid. The ability to look at something that everyone else is looking at and see it differently is the hallmark of creative thinking, and practice makes perfect. Train yourself to dispense with the commodity of opinion and examine things from multiple perspectives. You’ll be amazed at what you find when you play it out your own way.

2. LISTEN
Are you a talker or a listener? If you are the former ( a talker) Then, you really have to try to work on it, because you learn so much when you shut up and listen. Every person you meet has a perspective that differs from yours, and you can learn amazing things from simply listening. Just like you can be a very good conversant by only listening. Ideas drawn by listening to all sorts of different people can be put together and use to spark something phenomenal, create a content renaissance by interacting with as many different people as possible. Don’t hang out with people who reflect your existing beliefs, hang out with people who challenge you.

3. TRAVEL
The more we see of the world and different cultures, the more our minds open up and see limitless connections and possibilities. You can only impart positive virtues only when you learn other peoples way of life. One of the worst things we do to ourselves in terms of creativity is to stay within the realm of the familiar. So make it a point to get out, do new things, and travel to new places

4. FREE YOUR MIND
Many people think that creativity is something to schedule, like a staff meeting or a luncheon. While setting aside time for “brainstorming” and “thinking outside the box” can be helpful, you’re still perpetuating an illusion. The truth is, there is no box, and you have the ability to be creative at any moment. Allow yourself to recognize your own delusions and social constructs, and start questioning your assumptions at every opportunity. Better yet, reverse your assumptions and see where you end up

HOW MUCH LONGER CAN WE TAKE THIS???

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiMlPK8EmmA&NR=1

It is disheartening to say the least for some Nigerians to think that what we need as a Nation is "any" Government. Obasanjo had the effrontery (on the David Frost show) to say that Nigeria needed just a President to hold it together and not a president to provide good governance, social amenities and economic growth. He was proud to acknowledge the fact that he did nothing to improve the nation. Though he was selected and not elected. Obasanjo, plunged Nigeria into this current messy situation; contrary to across the board expectations nationwide because he had all the goodwill from the people: his days in prison and his experiences as both head of state and army general to get Nigeria back on track. He would have been placed with great African leaders like Mandela of South-Africa but NO!! he chose to bankrupt the country financially, morally and introduced politics of hate, manipulating, single party dominance and witch hunting. Very few were his achievements which were over shadowed by the myriad of problems his 8 horrible years brought the nation.
If successive governments congratulate themselves for keeping the nation together as their highest achievements while in office then, I will reconsider a splint of the country into many sovereign entities. Nigeria is a failed state by many indications and nothing is done to revert this.
We the Nigeria people deserve better.

NO VACANCY!!!

Nigeria is preparing for its general elections 2011.The Independent Electoral Commission, the body charged with conducting a free and fair elections is nothing but a partisan political group with Professor Maurice Iwu at the head. Professor Iwu has shown consistently that he is incompetent, biased and lack the moral integrity that such office demands. In view of INEC dependence on the Federal Government, Justice Uwais recommended an independent Electoral commission;whose Chairman will not be employed by the Federal Government, along with many other recommendations that would curtail the extent of election malpractices across the nation. The Uwais report has been praised by majority of Nigerians, but the political class because of the simple reason that they all benefit from flawed elections, they all know that they can not get a vote from any real elections without manipulation of numbers. The Senate has thrown out the Uwais report, the presidency has rejected the report and Iwu the "PDP" Chieftain has also rejected it. The reasons for their out right rejection is boldly written for all to see.
We can go on and go to talk about the manipulations but without action, the status quo will continue unabated. The year 2011 is a little above 24months ahead but there is no vacancy in any of the elective positions across the the country except from those seats held by non-PDP members. Genuine politicians with good intentions are shut out of the race while the criminals in PDP are patronized.
Power belongs to the people, we as Nigerians have been too cold for long. What happened to the spirit of resistance. We have been broken and reduced to mere cowards, afraid to fight for our basic rights while the thieving public officers continue to decimate the resources of this great country.
CHANGE 2011: THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW!!!!!!

GHANA ON THE SPOT LIGHT AGAIN!!! WHERE IS NIGERIA???

GHANA AGAIN!!! . The Country has won the U-20 World Cup which has eluded the continent for long now. Nigeria and its football body are in a shamble. Ghana is leading the west-Africa sub-region while Nigeria the hitherto giant of Africa with clay foot is lagging behind.

The Very Sick (selected) president Yar Adua runs the country into a ditch while we all watch in awe!!. We are all relocating to Ghana where there is peace, constant electricity, security, democracy and rule of law. Companies both national and international are deserting the sinking ship "NIGERIA" to Ghana.

WHICH WAY NIGERIA??????

which way Nigeria????

The way things are going in Nigeria: politically, economically, socially and otherwise leaves much to be desired. We know that none of the people who parade themselves as leaders were elected but were rather selected. We as a people watch these men destroy our country. I think a revolution is what the country needs at this point. Civil disobedience and a demand for genuine democracy. The people have been silenced for so long now BUT the time is ripe to reclaim our land from these evils in power. Enough of rhetoric's, too many suggestions rather ACTION!!!!!!. We need to say NO and end this nightmare.
WOLE SOYINKA WHY ARE YOU QUIET????????.
